How to Restore Unsaved File in Excel

Unexpected incidents can lead to unsaved work in Excel, but don't panic, Excel provides a way to recover unsaved files. Here's how to do it:

Step 1: Open Excel

Start by launching Excel.

Step 2: Open Recover Unsaved Workbooks

Go to File > Open > Recover Unsaved Workbooks at the bottom of the list.

Step 3: Select the Unsaved Workbook

You'll see a list of unsaved files. Select the one you want to recover and click Open.

Step 4: Save the Recovered File

Once the unsaved file opens, go to File > Save As and save it to your desired location.

Remember, Excel's AutoRecover feature saves a backup of your work every few minutes as you're working on it. Make sure this feature is enabled by going to File > Options > Save and checking the Save AutoRecover information every x minutes box.
